Care and Storage for a Folding Crate

Set it up completely
Use the sequence in the product instructions and check that the required panels and catches are in place. Do not use a partly assembled crate as if it were fully ready. The correct setup depends on its design.
Load with the instructions in mind
Keep within the stated limits and use the intended carrying points. Do not infer lifting or stacking strength from the material alone. Check whether the manufacturer provides different guidance for carrying and stationary storage.
Clean before putting it away
Remove the contents and follow the permitted cleaning method. Let surfaces dry as directed. Avoid introducing cleaners or heat that the product instructions do not allow.
Inspect before folding
Look for cracks, worn joints or damaged catches. Empty the crate before folding unless the instructions specifically state otherwise. Store it so that panels and hinges are not held under unnecessary pressure.
